Answer: Well, you won't be able to directly influence his bowel habits. At 4/5 years of age and being fully toilet trained he will develop bowel habits which fit in around his day, just like every other child. As long as he is having a healthy diet and does not become constipated and can access a toilet then he will just have to adapt to his circumstances just like every other child in his class. Try not to be too concerned about this or see his bowel habits as something you as his mother can control. You cannot, in the same way that any other parent can do for their child. Just tell him that if he needs to go to the toilet when he's at school then all he needs to do is ask the teacher. If you are still concerned then have a word with the teacher and let them know that your boy will probably be changing his toileting habits and just to be mindful of this. Cheers Jane
