I also have a tilted uterus, could this help the baby hide?

Hi Alex,
Further to my question: "can you shed some light on this", I have been for my 2nd u/s and still the same outcome...just the gestational sac. Could my dates be off from my LMP 6Apr08. My cycle ranges from 31-33days, one 35days. We only had sex twice that month, 21st and 25th Apr08, with the 25th closest to the ovulation (my calculations). How early or late does it take from an egg to be fertilised after sex.

I also have a tilted uterus, could this help the baby hide? Could I be earlier than LMP predicts and its usual not to see anything?
I took a peek at the ultrasound report...they`re now suggesting Blighted Ovum.

Sarah...
Answer: Hi, If you have a longer cycle it will add the days (over 28) to your gestation. So if you have a 35 day cycle it will add one week to the pregnancy as you conceive later. You are usually fertile for around 1 day and sperm can live up to 3 days. Sometimes early ultrasounds do have difficulty seeing the baby but after about 8 weeks it should be clear and the heart will be beating. If it is a blighted ovum there will only be a sac and no baby. Best wishes, Alex
