I would definitely go with the calmbirth classes as with hospital classes they have to follow certain policies and therefore a great deal of information they give you is biased. Any sort of private birthing class that is not connected with the hospital would be better in general. I also reccomend that you read, read, read.....there is nothing better than to carry all the proper knowledge about birth so YOU can make the final descions based on proper non-biased information. Some books I can recommend to you are, Dr Sarah Buckleys "Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering","The Thinking Womans Guide to a Better Birth", "Active Birth" and also I highly recommend you watch "The Business of Being Born".
Why not do both?
