How long does it take for periods to get back to normal after birth?

I cant remember when I got my period back after having Ava.

Now its three weeks after losing Heidi and I have my period, does this mean it goes back to normal now and I can expect it again in 28 days or is it likely to be all over the place for a while?

I would say it would be all over the place for a while. I got my 1st period 4 weeks after losing my daughter. I then got another one 21 days after the first one. Also the Professor at the hospital said it could take up to 3 months for them to return to normal. Hope this helps

it has been 3 months since i lost my DD i bled for about 2 weeks then i got my normal period about 2 weeks later and it has been normal since.if it does become abnormal you should ask your GP.
