Éremón, Éireamhón (AYR-a-vawn) M

it didnt have a meaning there

then found this site...

which gave me this one...
Irving Scottish surname deriving from a place name Éireamhón AY ra vone

then went here

Éireamhón - (AY-ra-vohn) From the Old Irish male name Érémon. Not only is this a traditional name in the McSweeney and O'Halloran families, it is also the name of the chief ancestor of Ireland, according to the legendary tales of the Sons of Mil. Érémon led the journey to Ireland in a quest for revenge after his uncle, Ith, had been killed by the Tuatha Dé Danann.
Éireamhón Irvin

I read in an Anne Rice interview that the name LESTAT was the outcome of a spelling mistake: she wanted to name the character LESTAN after her husband, Stan, but she misspelled it, and so it became Lestat.

Rice probably concocted the name from the Old French "l'estat" meaning "status, state or condition of life".

hope this helped

Thanks eilishsmummy helped heaps. smile
I will tell my daughter the correct spelling & meaning of Eireamhon. :~
Lestat I was hoping for a different meaning then Anne Rice's character "Vampire Lestat" but it appears that this is the only one. I did find a meaning at tonight this being based on Anne's character.
Thanks for helping & being so polite as not to mention my grandson is named after a vampire movie. I never took it well when I surfed net for his name this is why I still hope for a different meaning. Her age group (19yrs) seem to know it's whereabouts well, all so far have negative response. sad

Hi Narelle,
Thanks for your comments, I agree nothing wrong with unusual names some are very nice. My problem is my daugther has trouble saying Eireamhon so how can she expect anyone else too get it right. She cann't even spell it without looking it up that to me isn't right if naming your child a name a least know it yourself.
I do like unusual names that at least look & sound English
Thanks for your help
